What is USPAP?
The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) are the generally accepted standards for professional appraisal practice in North America. USPAP contains standards for all types of appraisal services.
The Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989 recognizes USPAP as the generally accepted appraisal standards and requires USPAP compliance for appraisers in federally related transactions. State Appraiser Certification and Licensing Boards; federal, state, and local agencies, appraisal services; and appraisal trade associations require compliance with USPAP.
While the American Society of Appraisers provides principles for our APPRAISERS, USPAP lays out standards for S&F REPORT. Each S&F Rating Appraisal Report is designed to conform to these standards, assurance provided by various layers and figures, checks and balances as well as the appraisers themselves who are held to Conduct principles established in the ASA code.
What is The Competency Rule?
The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) establishes several ethical foundations for those involved in the valuation of property, both intangible and tangible. The Competency Rule is a matter of ethics that requires all appraisers have sufficient and established knowledge and experience to perform appraisals.
If competency is not verifiable, the code requires the appraisal service to reveal lack of competency as it may adversely affect appraisal validity.
Competency Rule is highlighted and discussed to show the importance of knowledge, experience, standards and ethics in your appraisals. How competent is your appraiser? Visit the
Competency Rule page for more info
How do I know you are 'qualified' to make appraisals?
First off, please take some time to review some of the
eligibility requirements all appraisers/panelists have to fulfill before even being considered for a position. It should be quite clear that any individuals who fulfill all the requirements are certainly qualified...and RARE.
Once they fulfill eligibility requirements, each prospect is then subject to a 'Panel Referendum' in which all exisiting DomainConsultant panelists vote on the new designation. Only by unanimous vote is the prospect approved and asiigned the label of 'DomainConsultant panelist.'
After passing all that, panelists are then reviewed, vetted and certified by the single most sucessful and influential figure in the domain arena, Frank Schilling.
Schilling is an industry leader with unparalleled experience, stature and success. To question whether they are qualified means questioning his experience, connections and judgement. Learn more about Panel Certification.
Ultimately, it is up to you to decide how qualified we are and what our collective power is worth.

For instance, say you own some 'halloween' names and want to have them all appraised together under a single document and with a single valuation figure - that is for batch appraisals. Now say you have six domains and need six individual appraisals for each one, you can ge a discount on each through our bulk services.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee on appraisals?
No. It is unfortunately quite possible that domain holders, who are known for having unrealistic expectations in regards to their own domains, may not be 'satisfied' with the Suggested Market Value (SMV) our appraisers come up with. Besides, we have to compensate our world-class appraisers whether you like the results or not. We suggest you take your appraisal as a guide, a snapshot in time. These are the captains of the industry - to question their COLLECTIVE judgement and experience means offering a guarantee to customers who may not like what the experts have to say.
